Wood + Sulphur + Phosphorus - an exothermic chemical reaction
A short film written and filmed by Ryan Buyssens back in 1993 or 1994. The Super 8 film footage was developed but it was never edited into a final composition - until now... 27+ years later. The audio track consists of various recordings that he made during that time as well. Edited and mixed together with a new perspective after all these years. Enjoy!

Specter
Specter is an edit of some of the experimental 16mm pinhole movies made by Ryan Buyssens. Made from an old 16mm cine kodak, the camera had a 5mm focal length with an f-stop of roughly 90. This allowed full motion images of acceptable sharpness to be taken in bright light. The film was developed by Ryan in his bathtub then projected on a wall while being videotaped. Due to the poor transfer method, the quality of the images was not able to be faithfully represented, however the sound of the projector was kept for ambiance.
There are multiple takes with the sun in the frame - thought, at the time, to be needed for proper exposure but also giving the ethereal light streaks across the image plane that is a side effect only pinhole can create.
